HONEY!

Blue Heron Creations honey is 100% Pure Maryland honey produced from the nectar of the blossoms of Black Locust, Tulip Poplar, and other spring blooming trees and flowers. 

The Blue Heron Creations Honey Bees were very active and productive this year!  Honey, like wine, is affected by weather and the nectar source.  In our region, the primary nectar sources are from Black Locust and Tulip Poplar trees.  The Tulip Poplars barely bloomed this year.  Hence, the honey is comprised of nectar from spring flowers and Black Locust.  This is part of what makes keeping honeybees so exciting; it is never a drab routine.

The honey is now packaged in 2 ounce, 3 ounce and 12 ounce net weight jars. The honey is also available as a gift package that includes a honey dipper. It is available for sale at various craft shows and directly from apiary.
