GENERAL JEWELRY CARE
Regardless what materials or metals have been used to create jewelry, care must be taken to protect it from unintentional damage. Apply make-up, perfume, hairspray or hand lotion prior to putting on jewelry. The chemicals in these products can damage silver or gold jewelry. Make your jewelry the last item you put on and the first item you take off.
Chlorine, salt water, even hard water will eventually leave a film on any jewelry piece. This will dull the color and shine. Always remove jewelry prior to showering, swimming, or bathing. Additionally, remove jewelry before washing dishes, cleaning with chemicals, or at anytime it could come in contact with abrasive cleaners and/or chemicals.
Store on a soft cloth, such as velvet or cotton to protect the metal from being scratched.
